Music Tuition with Chloe

Music isn't just about learning to sing or play an instrument. It's about the courage to try something new, the resilience to keep practising when it's hard, and the confidence that comes from real, earned progress. No matter your age, music has a way of showing you what you're capable of.

Singing & Flute Lessons

1:1 or paired tuition for singing and flute, welcoming complete beginners through to experienced musicians.

I create a supportive space to learn how to breathe well, build tone, technique and musicality step by step, at a pace that suits you.

Lessons are tailored towards your preferred style of music, voice type (for singers) and your individual goals.

Music Theory & GCSE Music

Music theory is an important foundation for any young musician, and I offer tuition at all levels, including Grade 5, the prerequisite for higher ABRSM grades.

I also provide specialist support for GCSE Music, covering composition, listening skills and exam preparation, drawing on 30 years of teaching experience to make theory feel accessible rather than dry.

Curriculum Music and Arts Award

I support home educating families in delivering meaningful, structured music provision, tailored to your child's interests and pace.

About Me

I work with clients from a range of backgrounds, experience levels and voice types, from classical opera to musical theatre to rock, whether you're working towards an exam, performance or audition, or simply want to discover your sound.

Music was always where I felt at home. As a teenager, it gave me the confidence and identity I needed, and that's what I love helping my students find too.  I also teach music theory and GCSE Music, and support home educating families with structured music provision.

For nearly 30 years I've taught singing, flute and music theory - in schools, online and privately.   I've been a performer for even longer starting out in Youth Ensembles in Berkshire and Oxfordshire.  I specialised in voice and flute performance at university, and have since performed with orchestras, choirs, Bands and opera companies, including singing at the Proms and recording choral music with the BBC Philharmonic.

For many years I taught music in schools but now focus on 1:1 tuition.  My students range from aged 5 to well into retirement, and each have their own reasons for picking up an instrument or finding their voice.  It's never simply about teaching music, it's about building confidence, self belief, emotional resilience and giving people time to really discover themselves.

What My Client's Say

Chloe is a fantastic teacher. She spots ability and then encourages the development of this as well as developing the areas of weakness.

My daughter improved so much under her careful guidance. What makes Chloe different to other teachers for me is the way she engaged with my daughter, building up her confidence and trust in a way that I still see now.

My daughters confidence in herself as well as her singing ability are so vastly different to where they were when we first met Chloe.

I have no hesitation to recommend Chloe.

I’ve been having singing lessons with Chloe for the past few months and she’s absolutely brilliant.   She’s a really lovely, easy-going person who makes you feel at home right away.

I’ve been singing for most of my life, but Chloe has immediately been able to recognise areas for improvement. She’s classically trained, so has been able to help me develop and strengthen my technique in areas I’ve never noticed were a problem before. She’s given me great tips and exercises and is helping me improve my sound, as well as the ability to sing in a way that protects my voice.

My eyes have been opened as to what my voice can do and we’ve even noticed changes in my sound in the space of a few weeks.

Chloe is flexible and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend her as a singing teacher.

Chloe is very kind, patient and accommodating.

I have come a long way in my singing and she has also helped me with booking a holiday as doubles up as a travel agent!

Highly recommend
